About Jabulani – South Africans in Thailand

In 1992, a small group of South Africans in Bangkok founded Jabulani — a social organisation with a combination of old world charm and new world spirit. The purpose of Jabulani is to support and maintain a gateway for South Africans and friends of South Africa in Thailand.

Jabulani South Africans in ThailandBecause South Africa is such a “rainbow nation”, our group is open to all nationalities with a connection to or interest in South Africa and South Africans. It is with an open mind and heart that we can achieve true happiness.

Most of our events are open to both members and non-members unless otherwise noted. Regular events include pot luck lunches and book exchanges, pub/sport nights, golf days, movie nights and community volunteers meetings. We welcome you to join our group and suggestion new events and activities for our community to enjoy.

At present most activities and events are located in Bangkok but we welcome South Africans all over Thailand to become a part of our online social network and create groups and activities, etc. in your own part of Thailand!

Become a member, make friends and gain access to Jabulani news, events, forums and more. If you have questions feel free to contact us via the online contact form or email chief [at] jabulanithailand.com (don’t forget to replace [at] with the @ symbol, we’ve done this to prevent spam).

Jabulani Warriors (community volunteers):

We rely on members of the community to help keep Jabulani going. The purpose of this network, club or group is to support and nurture friendship amongst South Africans and friends of South Africa living in Thailand. As of 2011, we’ve found our membership  has diversified quite a bit with ages ranging from the 20′s to 60′s. We have approximately 180 members registered on our online network, not including everyone’s partner or children. We welcome you to join us, please sign up for membership at http://www.jabulanithailand.org
