What is Jabulani?

The word Jabulani, now made famous thanks to Adidas and FIFA, is a Zulu word and means “come to bring happiness to everybody”, or simply put, to celebrate. Jabulani comes about from a smile or a moment when you feel good. And as South Africans, we feel good when we’re connected with other South Africans.

Jabulani is a social organisation for South Africans and friends of South Africa based in Thailand.

We are located in Bangkok but welcome all South Africans in Thailand to join us. Because South Africa is such a “rainbow nation” we welcome all nationalities to join us. As one of our host country’s religions (Buddhism) tells us, it is with an open mind and heart that we can achieve true happiness. So welcome one and all to Jabulani.
